Fiber artist Amelia Briggs began translating her playful, inflated forms and vibrant palette into bags in 2024. Inspired by the free-flowing botanical shapes in her paintings and sculptures, Briggs sources reclaimed materials, nylon, clothing, and fiber to craft each one-of-a-kind bag, embellishing them with tone-on-tone appliqués and hand-painting them with weather-resistant pigment in abstract designs reminiscent of her studio work.
