MEADOWS
Main Window Dumbo, Brooklyn, NY | Presented by Deanna Evans Projects, New York, NY, September 3 - October 25 2026 | Viewable 24/7
MEADOWS features nine soft, botanical wall pieces made from reclaimed materials, fiber, nylon, fabric, pigment, and thread. Drawing on her early training as a figure painter, Briggs explores how experiences are internalized and shape perception through embodiment. Although the human figure no longer appears in her work, Briggs sees her practice as an effort to turn the body inside out. Soft, swollen forms become manifestations of psychological and emotional landscapes, while organic contours and playful surfaces invite viewers into spaces that are at once comforting and strange, evoking the porous boundaries between self and environment.
